Insomnia

It didn’t take long to figure out what’s wrong inside.

The rain couldn’t wash all the sleepless nights,

followed by those unreasonable inner fights.

Night after night- darkness followed by sunlight,

two tired eyes relentlessly longing for the morning rise.

Not on purpose, of course- how could they know,

it was a condition that caused all the trouble at dawn.

Those two diamonds turned into rocks,

refusing to show how bright they could shine.

It was so unfamiliar, yet not,

where depression and insomnia unite

to stop all the clocks,

once again for another sleepless night.
